The Director, Finance and Operations role will play a key role in building and growing SubVRsive’s organization from the ground up. This role is responsible for a wide range of activities, and will be critical to shaping and scaling our company by taking ownership of areas that deeply impact our strategy, operations, and tactics. It will also have significant impact on our corporate culture, and the way we interact with clients, suppliers, partners, and each other.

Reporting to the CEO, The Director of Finance & Operations will initially be responsible for many different areas and activities, and will support the entire SubVRsive team. As our employee base and business grow, your responsibilities may become more focused, but what won’t change is that success in this role depends on your financial acumen, accounting experience, operational strengths, and ability to balance financial discipline with creative, out-of-the-box thinking befitting a young startup like SubVRsive.

As this is not a “hire a smart person to learn on the job” position, applicants must have prior experience in finance and accounting roles, and must have a demonstrated ability to be comfortable and impactful in an environment that changes rapidly and offers limited structure.  This position requires a self-starter who can hit the ground sprinting. The ability to work from experience is critical.

We are a small company, and flexibility to switch from one mindset to another seamlessly is key. Needless to say, you will wear many hats at once, especially early on.
